Research Interests:

Understanding the nature of surface active sites of catalysts to develop low cost and highly effective catalysts.  Preparation and characterization of catalysts.  Environmentally benign catalytic synthesis of fine chemicals and intermediates.  Hydrogen production and small molecule activation.

Current research focuses include hydrogen production, tar cracking for biomass gasification, low-temperature CO oxidation, NOx reduction.
