Engineering Expo 2003: 10/02/03
Due
to the late start this year, Expo 2003 is coming up in just the second
week of classes! Be sure to
attend, whether you are looking for co-ops, internships, permanent positions,
or just to get a feel of the companies you may someday work for. Contact our President Daron Diener to
volunteer some time to setup, greet other Engineering Buckeyes, and try
to clean up the largest meeting of engineering company representatives in
the midwest. If nothing else,
just stop by the AIChE table to say hi, or sign up if you haven’t
already!
OSU Chapter General Meeting: 10/06/03

be having a general meeting for ANY AND ALL INTERESTED STUDENTS
concerning membership, activities, and the National Convention on Monday,

presented by the College of Engineering from 10-3 outside Hitchcock Hall,
and the Homecoming Float, which MUST BE READY by October 16th for
the parade on the 17th.
Be sure
to watch the AIChE bulletin board on the second floor for more updates,
and watch out for one of the Officers
making announcements in your class!
AIChE National Conference...11/15/03
The
AIChE National Student Conference will be held at the San Francisco
Hilton, November 15-17 this year, hosted by the local San Jose and Oregon
State chapters. The Chem-E Car, which is one of 31 Competition Finalists is
currently under optimization and is being led by Gary Koenig. If your
interested in attending Nationals contact Nzinga Turner, the
AIChE Vice President.
If
you are interested in joining AIChE, doing it before nationals would be a
great idea. The fee for Local and
National AIChE membership is $20, and $15 of it can go toward the trip to
Nationals. Contact our membership
chair, Andrew Maynard, for more
information. Also, new officer positions have been added but are not all
filled. Anyone is eligible to apply for a position. These positions are
low stress and great opportunity to get involved. So don't hesitate and
join now!
