The flow core laboratory currently has 3 full-time faculty and staff. Our
faculty and staff are among the best in their areas of specialization and have gained
national and international recognition for their contributions and accomplishments.

Jeffrey Chalmers, PhD - Director |

Dr. Jeff Chalmers, a professor of Chemical Engineering at Ohio State,
received a B.A. in natural science from Westmont College in 1983, a
B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley,
in 1983 (a joint program with Westmont College), and his Ph.D. in Chemical
Engineering from Cornell Univeristy in 1988. Since joining OSU's Chemical
Engineering department in 1988, he has developed two primary research areas
in the general field of bioengineering: immunomagnetic cell analysis and
separation, and large scale cell culture.

Andy received his BS from the State University of New York
at Stony Brook in Stony Brook, NY in 1990. In 1991 he moved to Columbus
to attend graduate school. In 1995 he received his Masters from the Department
of Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the Ohio State University. In 1997 he took
over the position of key operator of the Comprehensive Cancer Center's Analytical Cytometry
Laboratory. Andy has eleven years of flow cytometry experience.
