The Analytical Spectroscopy Lab (ASL) maintains many instruments that the HCRG  uses. We most frequently use  a Bruker ESP300CW ESR with a temperature controller for regulation  from 100K to 373K and a Bruker D8 Advance in-situ X-ray diffractometer.  There is also a general X-ray diffactometer, an IR spectrometer, and an atomic-absorption instument available for our use.

The Bruker D8 capabilities include:

-In-situ XRD chamber (from cryogenic up to 1000 °C, different gas atmospheres)
-9-sample auto-changer
-capillary analysis

In-situ XRD calcination of 10%Co/TiO2.

ESR spectra of Mo(V) in 10%Mo/Si:Ti 1:1 catalysts with differing K/Mo molar ratios under dehydrated conditions.
