The HCRG routinely uses SEM and TEM with Energy Dispersive X-ray Analysis (EDX) for particle size and shape, crystal structure, and compositional analysis as a function of position throughout pre- and post-reaction catalyst samples.
The Campus Electron Optics Facility (CEOF) offers state-of-the-art electron beam and X-ray analytical services. A variety of instruments exist including SEM, TEM, and XRD.
